100 Years of Perseverance
2021 marks the 100th year of Françoise Gilot. While Gilot is well known for her skill as a painter, it is her talent for printmaking that propelled her into the public eye, with her original limited-edition lithographs sought after by collectors and patrons all over the world. Her skill as a colorist, combined with a relentless desire to experiment has stretched and tested the boundaries of both color lithography and monotypes. Ferris State University Gallery of Fine Art in combination with DKH Gallery has brought together key graphic works that represent pivotal developments in her printmaking career spanning an incredible eight decades.
