Andy Warhol's Index Book
This Andy Warhol Index book is quite a rare find. In excellent condition for its age, all pop-ups are functional. There is even a surprise with the "water stamped pieces" still intact at the rear of the book. This book includes exclusive Andy Warhol interviews and pictures that are curated carefully to demonstrate his early pop art career in Andy Warhol style. His own little "museum box" this piece combines his love for lithography, the magazine, the written word and pop art. He is able to curate his own works in this one index book.
Silver and black wrappers, 29 cm., [74] pp., with black and white plates and colour pop-ups. All pop-ups, fold-outs and attached materials are present: castle pop-up, accordion, bi-plane, paper wheel (detached from page), dodecahedron attached with string, Lou Reed record (still attached and unplayed), Warhol nose overlays, Hunt's Tomato Paste can, 'Big Surprise' eight-sectioned pastedown, and balloon.
